I put together a topical guide that documents nearly every mention of early American treasure-seeking rituals that I’ve been able to find. This made it a lot easier for me to keep up with particular references, and I figured I might as well publish it on here since someone else might find it useful. I’m also hoping that maybe someone else interested in this stuff could point me to some documents that I may not be aware of. The references are confined to those that refer to treasure-seeking during in America during the 1700s and 1800s.
The topical guide deals exclusively with rituals, and is about nineteen pages long. In the future I plan on incorporating other aspects of treasure-seeking into a topical guide format. It just makes everything much easier to keep up with.
The amazing thing about this is that it shows how consistent these orals rituals were in early America for over a hundred years.
